Scrren problems

Hello
Ok My computer has been running great and when i got home from school i turned on my comp and the left side of my monitor screen has dull colours. Its not as colourfull.. ex. My bf2 icon is green. Thats just my 1st icon colome of my screen. The rest of my screen is compleatly fine though... Any ideas was to what is happoning here.

1gb RAM

has any magnets been close to the screen? and do you have a deguass button on it?

ok... i left my monitor for awile.. it went into standby and now its normal again... :S. anyone know what happond?

Just proberly got too hot or something..cables might of been out of place or squashed.
