screensaver on XP not working

I am manually installing a Windows XP theme And have setup everything but the screensaver.

I have moved the .scr file into my /system32 folder. When I go to set the screensaver it does not even have a small preview of it.

I have found only two files on the original computer that seem to have anything to do with the screensaver, the .scr file and a . pf file. I do not have a prefetch folder on my new computer, could this be the problem?

The screen saver might not be compatible with XP. Is it a screen saver from Vista or Win7?

I am transfering it from a Windows XP computer to a Windows Xp computer.

What is the screensaver you are trying to transfer then? Most XP machines should come with all the default screen savers. Unless you are trying to transfer a specific one that is attached to specific aspect of XP like the Media Center screen saver.

It is a downloaded screensaver that my father put on the computer and he doesn't remember what its name was.

There is no folder for it in the program file or anywhere else, I have searched with hidden folders shown for the .scr file and any info for it.

The screensaver shows the Earth in the background with a satellite( i think) and an astronaut floating by, it is animated.
