Hello forum, I was thinking about selling my old print/scanner/photocopier (3 in 1) however something stuck me, I used that device to upload passports and identity sensitive information. So I was wondering if my scanner has any independent memory of it's own which may contain my sensitive documents and if so how can I access and delete them.
 
The only memory most scanners have is RAM and is volatile (meaning it is cleared out when power is lost).

printers/scan/fax for home use do not have hard drives, They use volatile memory just like Carnage X states. But if you have a large commercial printer/scan/fax machine then that would most likely have a hard drive in which personal data can be retrieved from
