S-Video to Component on my Graphics Card

HDMI works off of the DVI connection. Use an adaptor made to convert the connection. That's what I'm doing on mine for right now. Upgrading vid card to one that has a HDMI connection would be another option.

Well VGA output should be pretty much the same quality as S-Video. And you say it looks horrid? Well I would think it should look better then your S-video out did

If my card is not powerful enough why did it come with it?

If the card isn't powerful enough, it probably won't do it.

You said that it looks horrible with VGA did you try to adjust the resolution? That might be what the problem is although your not going to get the same quality out of VGA it still shouldn't look horrible.

Everytime I hook my TV up to my comp I have to adjust the Resolution to make it look right. Give that a shot and see if that helps at all

I use 1024x768 on D-sub15 (commonly known as VGA) when I hook up to my 42" and it doesn't look too shabby.
