Rpc Server Error!

When i go to schyncronise the time of windows (update) it always says there is a RPC server error and it fails. this means i am unable to carry out many processes??

How can i resolve this??

Both of the time servers appear to be offline. Google for the correct time and manually set your clock.

but its been like this for the last few weeks!! ive updated it as manually as i can but as its not accuratley schycronised many things such as messenger will not work.

is your CMOS battery dead?

On all 4 of my computers I've not had a problem with manual setting. I've never hear of messaging programs requiring the time to be even accurate to function. Where did you hear that?

It's not the battery. The time servers M$ uses are off line.

the problem occured after i took the cmos battery out to put in another computer then putting it back in?? anything there?

Try another CMOS battery.
