i used a bandwidth monitor and it spikes when i start listening to music on groove shark

yah, that's waaaay too much, I'm surprised it's even streaming at that high of a rate...it must be loading other things as well.

Is there any way to tell what a website downloads to the computer becuase I went to rev 96.7 website and the bandwidth goes to 768 kbps during the ad movie the goes down to 87.9 kbps during the music

It depends on what is streaming. I'm sure there is a program that will tell you specifics, but streaming videos is a real nasty bandwidth hog. Music isn't as bad, depending on what quality you are listening too.
