resolution stuck on 640x480,16bit color

I recently reinstalled windows XP my computer and when it was fully restored i turned it on to find my Screen resolution is stuck on 640x480 and 16bit color. i have a dimension 3000. I can't fix it, so help would be greatly apreciated.

I had the same problem a while back. All I did was update the drivers and that fixed my problem.

Probably you didn't reinstall the video driver.
EDIT: If you have a Dimension, you'll get them at Intel's website, and as a bonus install the Intel Application Accelerator, but first the video...

I think is an Intel onboard video, but you'd better go to Lavalys.com and download Everest home and post your specs...
