Replacing Tivo HDD

hi guys, do any of you know whats involved in upgrading my tivo hard drive to a larger hard drive. What is the maximum capacity hard drive will tivo allow?

so are there a OS i will have to load onto the drive or is the OS on a chip on the motherboard?
