You just have to tell him to go easy flinging them around. You could suggest SSD's if he's willing to pay, but the cheaper option's definitely HDD; plus I hear WD HDD's have pretty high tolerance's nowadays.

Thanks, well to be fair they're cheaper than I thought, and because he doesn't have much data it probably wouldn't be much more expensive, I've actually considered something like this for my desktop computer now Sandisk 64GB SSD SATA 6Gb/s 2.5" Solid State Drive (SDSSDP-064G-G25) - dabs.com
