I have researched a lot on this but mostly get older posts and older technology, but what is the best setup for a render node now adays? Like bang for your buck wise. We would really like to stick with the it 3930k because it is insanely fast for a render node. We are looking at the BOXX Technologies RenderPROS, but they are super over priced if you can build it yourself, which I can...
Just wondering people thoughts on some render node builds with the 3930k.
Do I bother going with like a micro atx with onboard graphics with this cpu?
And would something like 16 gb of 1600 ddr3 be overkill?
Also wondering thoughts on a SSD in a render node?
I have read articles on people building some pretty sick render nodes for like 500 dollars. I know my CPU is more than that, so price would like to stay around 1000.
Or is the 3930k overkill as well?
Just kind of starting my search on building my own render node and trying to save our company some money.
