Reformatting questions.

Hi there,

I managed to get hold of a computer but it has lots of viruses. its a windows XP 2002 Home edition. When i reformat the pc i will need a windows operating system installation cd correct? Am i able to reformat the computer and instead of installing XP home, install the XP professional operating system?

Yes, just pop in the OS cd you have and reformat it, just be sure you have a valid key for the OS.

I take it the key is on the same pack as the CD?

Well yeah. If you are buying a new OS cd, then the product key will be with it. I'm just saying, if you are using a cd that you already have, just make sure you have the product key with you so you dont have to fumble around looking for it when you start the installation.

Can an operating system CD be used more than once or on various computers?

There is "network" type keys I think. Obviously for schools and business's that are sharing a network. Idk what type of key you have though. PM me
