My laptop is completely fried I can't even get it to boot anymore (water spilled on it). I'm 94.3% sure the hard drive was undamaged, is there an adapter I can buy to connect a laptop hard drive to my desktop?

Something very similar to this device:

You do not have to purchase that exact one, you may also see if you can pick one up at your local computer store.

That 1 doesn't support Windows Vista, i found 1...

but $40 meh can anybody find a cheaper one?

The notebook drive is a 120GB 2.5" SATA... need an adapter from that to USB or whatever so I can access my files and move them to my desktop.

Both the laptop & the desktop have Windows Vista Home Premium 64bit.

I suppose with 1 of these I'll also need a USB2 to USB2 cord too ? hmm might have 1 laying around

It does not matter if it supports Vista or not. It considers the device a USB Mass Storage device, the operating system on the drive has nothing to do with this.

The one that I posted I actually own, works great. Comes with all the cables and such that you might need.

Ah okay thanks... I'll pick up that 1 then.
