recovering files after reformat

i had files saved in the SharedDocs folder which was in the My Network Places folder. I forgot to back those files up when I reformated my PC. Now they are gone. Is there a way I can get them back? I had very important files on it.

im running windows xp pro

sorry mate, when they're gone they've gone....
I'm 99.99999999999999999999999999999 % positive that u wont be able to get the files back.....

but iheard that reformated doesnt delete everything. like if u use a special program u can get ur files back. cuz people were argueing over this issue because when people throw out their harddrive, they think everything is deleted, but it isnt.

Maybe, but i'm pretty sure that reformat deleted EVERYTHING on your hardrive
When u format it says-
"WARNING!!! All data on non-removsable drive [C] will be erased.

Yeah, all files get removed..
Unless you did something that was like reformatting like for instance re-installing windows.

Yeah, there are definitly programs that u can use to recover files that u just sent to the recycle bin,
But after formatting i doubt u can get them back very muich sry m8

I've also heard there are ways to recover files even after a format but I don'r know how I think there are some people who do it. that's all I know good luck
