I have a Toshiba laptop 1135 WinXP sp2 with an onboard Avance AC97 audio that has a line in jack which I have used to covert cassette tapes to digital.
One day the line in stopped working. It wouldn't record, and didn't show up as a device under audio properties. The rest of the audio seems ok
I tried everything I could think of to fix it and finally resorted to formatting the hard drive and completely reinstalling the system using the recovery disks that came with the machine, and then did all the Windows updates and patches. Windows says I have the best drivers available. I'm lost. Any ideas. Thanks
