I have come across a problem, I'm currently troubleshooting a M305CRV Gateway notebook computer because the battery meter and the Power meter on the computer didn't match up. I tried calibrating the batteries by pressing F2, going to the BIOS, and turning on Auto Learning under Advanced.
While this should have worked in a few hours or so, as I have done this before, this time it will not go past a certain pont. the meter is about 82% complete and returning from empty to full to complete the learning, yet the battery is not charging. I pressed esc and turned off, switched the AC adaptor for an identical one so I could be sure it was still plugged in correctly, and same results only now it's at 19% and it stopped. (It starts at 19% completion and 58% battery power when starting a new calibration, meaning the battery just isn't charging)
What should I do?
