so the story begins when I needed an el cheapo board just for internet and word processing, no overclocks or anything, just needed to run stable.
in comes the zotac 630i micro-atx board. it was $50 bucks shipped with $10 bucks rebate
figured why not give it a shot.
heres what happened:
1. sent in rebate form
2. didn't receive rebate
3. e-mailed zotac support about the situation.
4. told me to check status online, but the thing is, I sent in rebate before they had the zotacUSA site set up. so cannot check status.
5. after couple messages back and forth. guy I dealt with gave me the rebate.
6. rebate check comes in the mail (hurray!)
but it doesn't end there!
I go in to deposit the check and it got returned, stamped with:
"RETURN REASON -C STOP PAYMENT Do Not Re-deposit"
not only do I not get the rebate, now Wells Fargo is charging me another $10 bucks for returned check.
moral of the story. zotac sucks with rebate.
