I've done it on a computer where it had worked before when I copies those files. I also did it in safe mode.
Last week I was install a dual boot system on a dell. I had activate the first sp1 system side through the internet. it went through. I copy those file for my sp2 side it didn't work, so I activated through the internet again. that was 2 activations in 1 day.
I hope that I'm wrong and maybe it just don't work for a dual boot system. the first computer was a dual boot too, now that I think about it.
