okay i would like to put a corsair dominator RAM in my future build. and i was looking at getting this ram
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820144073
and i would get 2 of these for a total of 8GB
would the RAM fan fit on the RAM that i have chosen?

and now for the other question
i am going to use a GeForce 8800GTX vid card, and i would like to know if it is going to cover anyother slot on my mobo?
i plan on using a nForce 680i SLI board this one as a matter of fact

thanks for all of the help

the fan should work on any ram i believe. also there is an 8gig kit out, you could get that and save money

as for the later yes it will take up the slot directly below your pci-e 16x slot, the closest to your cpu if your using one gpu.

I have the Cosair dominator fan and it fits in just fine. It actually clips down right over the back with plenty of clearence. Here are a few snapshots of it. You only need one kit cause they cover all 4 slots.

As for part 2 of your question yes it will take up the adjacent slot. You need to pull the backplate as well thats were the fan spins the air through.

okay i know that i didnt give this link earlier but i found a better pic of the mobo

and you click on the photo gallery tab to the farthest right
it shows a better pic
and my second question is this
the first black slot right beneth the processor that is an SLI-E 16 correct?
and then there is are 2 smaller slots, one above and one below this
those would be PCI-E x1 correct?
so the 8800GTX would cover the bottom PCI-E x1 correct?
i just want to make sure that i completely understand what i am seeing and reading.
trying to invision all of the parts put together and to make a couple of decisions from that, its just a little hard to do.
thanks

First off take a look at neweggs pictures they label everything and its much easier to see. http://www.newegg.com/Product/ShowI...on=BFG+Tech+BFG680i+SLi+ATX+Intel+Motherboard

Yes the first black slot is a PCI-EX16 slot.

The white ones are normal PCI slots for a Modem or soundcard.

Yes you will lose that mini PCI slot. Not really sure what you'd use it for. Also if you plan to SLI in the future you will lose that 2nd white PCI slot.
