Ram...

dude, if you said you had it in already and just took it out for a second, then it is ok, like i said, as long as you have already had them in, then try putting more pressure on the bottom to snap it in, if its fried, then its fried, you live and you learn. Fryed means unusable, bus' are obliterated.

No, it wouldnt fry from just switching your computer on, it will fry if its been on carpet though, that goes for any computer component.

Maybe you should take it into a repair shop, just to make sure you are doing it safely, and correctly. It sounds as if you havent really built before, and you may lack knowledge in that sort of area.

We all need to start somewhere..

Well then it will fit, and unless you REALLY messed up your motherboard, which you couldnt have, because you comp would most likely not run. Like i said, A. Put more pressure on it,(it can sometimes take ALOT of pressure) and snap the two clips on at the same time B. Let someone do it who has done it before.

If your really that worried, leave it to a professional to do it for you, better them screw it up than you :) jk jk, if you did ruin something, you really wouldnt have to worry about it, if you computer boots and runs, then your fine, that would mean you still have one slot available for memory, and you can get single 1 gb sticks that would fit your comp, dont stress it dude! :D
