All of the deals that are emailed to me from newegg, always have RAM deals. I notice that it says something like ddr2 800. What exactly does this mean and is a big step up from 667?

like what? What happens if i were to overclock it to like 1066? will that be a BIG performance boost?

You can't always overclock RAM that high. IF you're overclocking, you will see a noticeable difference in the highest clock you can achieve. For everyday use, you will see little to no performance increases. 1066 helps if you're trying to run a 1:1 ration on an overclock, which many people like to from what I hear.
