Im in the process of upgrading my computer, and i originaly just got 512 mb of ram. But i have an extra 20$ My new motherboard takes pc 3200 ram. For 15 bucks plus shipping, i can get 128mb pc2100. Will it still work even though its 2100? And is it worth the 20$? How much better will games like half life2 and fear run with 640 instead of 512? Since its pc 2100 with it make my comp slower instead of faster?
I would get pc 3200 if i could, but kingston doesnt have 128mb pc 3200.
And i want to have the same brands just to be safe.
Thanks Allen.

i think that the only thing that matter isit you have say, sd ram, or ddr, or ddr2, or sd ddr2

It'll actually slow down your computer. Don't buy it, just save up for another pc-3200 stick.

Exactly. Because the rams are have different speeds and they should be the same speeds the faster one will underclock to the same speed as the slower one. And 128 more ram is not going to help that much, I'd just wait till u have the money to buy another 512 (pc3200) stick of the same brand.
