Raid

Yeah, I know that, but no matter, because I generally do not keep important things on my computer anyway. And if I do, I make sure to back up regularly because if I've learned one thing from these forums it's that computers are not reliable.

Anyway, I'm gonna order one of the drives tonight. Hopefully it'll be a nice upgrade from IDE to SATA.

sweet, i'm on an 80gb and a 250gb sata drives right now, i like it.

(80gb for programs/windows and 250gb for data/storage/music/movies)

I personally don't recommend a RAID. Simply because both drives are joined together. If a slight problem occurs on one, both will share that problem, besides mechanical.

Add them in the SATA and disable RAID.

The main reason why RAID was invented was so if one disk failed, you would have all your files still :p
