there is more thank one type of raid. there is raid 0 and raid 1. raid 0 i believe uses both drives to load stuff making it faster. raid 1 duplicates your drive onto the second drive for backup reasons. as for how to set it up... read the manual. i've actually never done it, so i can't tell you if it's a good thing or not.
