Radeon X800 driver not working...

Yesterday, I was trying to update my Video card driver from http://ati.amd.com/

I downloaded and installed the latest driver and restarted my computer. The computer would start up, but whenever it tried to get to the Welcome screen, my monitor would black out. It would get no signal. Now im really mad, because i had no idea how to fix the problem so i had to restart my computer (delete everything.)

After I restarted the computer I tried to install the driver again but got the same results! Please help!

well you should try using some older drivers. And you could always try running windows in vga mode, it should work fine. So just use the vga mode in the future so you don't need to reinstall windows And to get to vga mode just keep pressing f8 after starting the computer, then it should give you a screen asking which windows configuration you want to choose.
