quick processor question

so i broke a pin off my processor, and one of my friends say he could just break a pin off a another processor and put it in the missing pin slot, it will mess up the motherboard since theres no way to take it out.
so the question is that is it possible to just break a pin off an processor and and put it in the missing slot of in the socket, without soldering.
im thinkin off trying to exchange it and say that the processor was defective, think that will work?

Try to exchange it, if they won't take it back, you could always try it, but I don't think I would.

you could take the pin out by opening the slot back up and turning the motherboard upside down. i guess it never hurts to try. sure beats buying a new CPU. thats for sure.
