Hiya, I'm trying to get my computer to hook up to my TV and just wanted to clarify which cables I'm getting!

My gfx card has a DVI, so I'm solid on the DVI to HDMI cable. But as I understand it it doesn't transmit audio. So for the audio I'm not quite sure what to get, the TV has component cable (5 3.5mm connectors). Does that mean I should get

CablesToGo, Velocity 3.5mm Stereo Male to Dual RCA.. | Ebuyer.com ??

My TV is:

My GFX card is a 9600gt, has a VGA and DVI.

Thanks,

Flamzy.

I had my old computer hooked up to my TV with a DVI cable and besides that i had an Jack 3½ for audio. works fine.

you do however have the option to transfer audio out of the DVI port on the graphic card, and then convert it to HDMI with audio.
Check if your graphic card has a small 2pin audio input on the side of the PCB. there should already be a wire from the motherboard to the card that transfer the onboard sound to the graphic card. so it should net be a problem. open up the case and check.
