I have a...

Microprocessor type - Intel P4, 2.80GHz
System - Intel 865PE or 865G, 8 DMA channels, 24 APIC mode, 4mb(512kb) system BIOS chip, clock @ 533- or 800-MHz data rate.
Expansion bus - PCI (33MHz), 3 connectors, 120pins, 32bits, AGP (1X, 4X, 8X)
Memory - Duel Channel DDR SDRAM, 4 connectors, capacities up to 1g per (current - 2 256s).
Memory type - CP2700(333MHz) or PC3200(400MHz) DDR SDRAM (non-ECC)
Network - NETGEAR 10/100/1000 ethernet (GA311)
Video - nVidia GeForce MX 440 (video card so bad that it was free..)
Sound - ADI 1980
Power - 250W, 853BTW heat dissipation (fully-loaded computer w/ monitor)
Fan - 92mm
OS - Microsoft Windows Home Edition 2002 Service Pack 2
Monitor - 19in Dell on Plug and Play on nVidia GeForce MX 440

...in another words, the shittiest thing on earth.

I would like to know if there's any OC I could do to do this computer to better it a little bit. During this summer I plan on putting together a computer w/ a $1000-1500 budget. So this would only be temporary. Since I don't know much about OCing i'm asking you guys.

I don't take A+ till senior year...lack of space...
 
upgrade to WinXP Pro. you'll like it so much better.

OCing that would be pointless, u miteaswell wait till summer. its only a couple months or so away
 
Alright I'll do that...can I get that WinXP Pro for free somewhere? I don't really want to invest on this comp, i won't be using it too much...
 
There's barely any difference between XP Home and Pro for a typical user...

Anyway, even if you did OC, the differences would be so minor it wouldn't even be worth your time.
