i need some information on how to format a diskette on my computer i have windows xp home edition and id be really thankful if anyone could help me!!

Well krimzonblade , if your talking about a 3x5 inch floppy disk, all you have to do is put the disk into your
floopy drive.
go to my computer/ double click/ then on the (A) drive icon right click on the mouse/ scroll down to format and click.
you have the choice of a full format (that's for new disk's bought at the store,and need formatting)
if you've used the disk before and you just want to erase what's on it/ then check the box that say's
quick format.... this is a faster process.
it will ask you if you want to save the info that's on the disk. if you don't need wants on the disk just say no........that's it
