PS3 SSD upgrade?

I want to get my buddy to put an SSD in his Play 3. What size is required and what software is required? What firmware for the SSD is needed for the Play3? Is this even doable yet?

What are the best Play3 upgrades?

It's do able, but not worth it. From what I've heard the gains are VERY minimal.

Putting an ssd in your ps3 isn't going to help speed up his system because how fast the game loads is limited by the bluray drive's read speed.

But yea, after you say that , it makes sense. Unless there is a way to download the games to the HDD.
