Is there a way for me to make an external hard drive TRULY "read only"? I've tried making everything on the drive read only, but it still allows me to rename, move, and delete files. I don't want the contents of the drive to be able to be modified at ALL.
I keep all my music on an external drive so i can take it with me. The problem with playing it on another system is that some players, such as Windows Media Player, have options that when active will rename and/or re-arrange files according to the program's RIP settings. I want to prevent this.
