programs after installing windows

I just installed windows xp again and just wondering what are good programs I should get to maintain my computer like adware programs, virus programs, etc.

Well, first off, make a restore disc, so you can have a fresh copy of xp. Then, get ad aware or spybot or microsfot anti spy and install it. Then get pc cillin or avg if you don't have money.
