By 'it doesn't do a thing,' do you mean that it won't let you reinstall or the problem doesn't change when you do? It sounds like a bad copy of the program. If possible, try getting a new copy.
It's also possible that your particular computer just doesn't like the program. Has it worked on the machine in question before? I know that a CD ripping program I had worked great on my PC but gave me all sorts of problems on my laptop. Try a different DVD burning program (I suggest Nero).

-I have tried a couple different copies of the program, they have done the same thing every time i install
-and yes, we had this program on this exact computer before..
-Nero i heard is a good option, and i do have it, but the only problem is that i only have AVI videos and they need to be .ifo, or .vob or something and it takes like 40 mins to convert them...
