Processor Temperature

Hi Guys

I just built a new computer, and was wondering what is a good temperature for an AMD Phenom 9850 to be around during normal use, or idling? Not gameplay because obviously that would be a bit higher, mine currently is basically always 51/52 degrees celcius. That is with a few basic programs running and music.....

Anyone have any ideas?

What am I suposed to use to find the temperature? What program... I would also like to know if my TuniQ is doing its job

I have Everest.. but I can't find CPU temps.. I can see a hdd temperature though.. it says 35C Can't find CPU though..

Under Computer>Sensor it only has my hdd

Haha, I was playing around and I went to Report> Quick Report: Sensor.. still just hdd but it also said...

Ya I thought it was a little high too... it is the stock heatsink and fan...... not sure if this matters, but the MOBO temp is 42 degrees celcius, and the video card around 52 as well.... it seems like it is all a little hot... any ideas?

I have three case fans, and the NZXT Apollo case... it seems to move good air, but I am still worried. I am not interested in wasting 1000+ dollars of computer haha. I will probably get a new heatsink for the CPU next time I am down at my buddies, he lives 2 minutes away from a tigerdirect

Oh and I use PC Probe II, it came with the asus motherboard I use, the same exact one you have captain pooka...

also all my fans are blowing air into the computer, should i have one sucking it out?

The rear fan should be blowing out. The front and side fans should be blowing in.

Yeah I am there in Sensor, but all I see is my Seagate hdd.

I downloaded something else. The CPU is about 45C all the time. What's the deal? I'm about to vaccume out the case... some day lol, I have it sitting on a carpet. Could it be my TuniQ Tower is filled with dust?
