Problems with my IP for FTP

for some reason whenever i make a server for HaloPC or Filezilla FTP Server people cant connect to my computer, they have EVERYTHING set correctly. Now for some reason they cant connect...in HaloPC they can see my server but they cant connect, for FTP they just cant connect. I disable my firewalls but it STILL has issues. WTF is wrong with this?

well i'm not an expert when it comes to server's and that kinda stuff, but i just have one question.

check out your settings on security level in internet setting's, i have a friend who's computer would not connect him to the net, no matter what he did.

we ran all spyware, scanned for bugs..nothing, til i checked his internet settings...turned out that the

settings in internet options were set too high, so i put it back to default for him, then he tried to get on the net and it worked.

not shure if this could be your prob, but worth a shot.
