problem with new psu OCZ gamexstream 850w

ok i brought an ocz gameXstream 850w for my dfi lan party ultra D. plugged it all in and the damn thing wont even turn on. one little light pops up on for the zalman fan control thing. i had a similar problem with an enermax liberty 620w. when i rang up enermax i discovered that enermax comply with intels guidelines on power supplys but dfi motherboards do not meaning there is a compatibility issue. is that the same for this psu as well?

Did you check the power switch in the case. It might be plugged in wrong or shorting out. Thats pretty much all i can think of.

yeah i did. now i have another problem. when i plugged my old hiper 525w back in and pressed the power button. everything turns on but wont go to boot up. all the fans work the cpu fan spins up the x1900xt fan spins up but wont do anything after that. it only gets as far as the first really loud spin up, any one with a x1900xt and up will know what im talking about its hard to miss. nothing comes up on the screen at all.

ive fixed the problem the mobo was grounding out
