Problem with my search window

I have Windows Xp.

When i go into the search window,

on the left side it usually shows up a dog and than options.

Now, when i open the search window,
all i see on the left side is the dog and a half opened bubble.
the options don't come up.

it's not that big of a problem, but it's annoying.
any suggestions?

Try F1 and ask there.
