hello,
i am a com-pletely new member to this forums, i just registered 5mins ago, although i have been browsing the threads for quite a while...
i have a problem with my other computer. the harddrive it is running is a Samsung SV1022d and when i switch it on i boots up but then goes to this screen where it asks u how u wanyt to run your computer. if i choose normal it says "c:/sscdrom.sys. error in config.sys file on line 2"
if u choose safemode it just does nothing at all, i waited half an hour. choose command promt only and it does nothing. The PC is rubbish anyways though i have had a lot of problems with it before such as spyware viruses crashing etc. im not a complete computer expert so any help u guys can give me would be very appreciated. thanks in advance.

I don't know what os is installed-since there is a safe mode I assume windows 98 or higher.
If you have an emergency boot disk try booting from it and scandisk c.
Then try booting again-at command prompt type scandisk c: <enter>, do a through scan to eliminate bad harddisk sectors.
If still no go reinstall windows.
