Problem with Connecting

I brought my comp to my cousins house and for some reason it wont work. by all means it should. ive tried everything i could possibly imagine any help?

Can you please give us more information. We need anything and everything that you can supply and we can go through it and find the important info. The most important info would be how you are connecting, and what type of OS you are using.
