Problem w/ sounds

For some reason the windows recycle, start & exit, login & logoff sounds don't play, but I know I have certain ones selected. The select & menu pop-up sounds work though, so I don't know what's wrong. This is with the admin account only because I've noticed they all work for my wife's user account. Anybody know what can be the problem?

hmmm..check out the Control Panel>Sounds and audio devices>sounds and then set it back to windows default and see if that works. Maybe some of the .wav files got moved around or sumthin. You have custom sounds for each item or should they all be default?

I haven't changed 'em before tonight, and I noticed this problem before. I thought I could fix it with custom sounds. Works for my wife's account,but not all for mine.

hmm..maybe something in your profile is corrupt. You could always create a new profile and if it works under that one then just move all your documents and such over to the new profile. Then done..
