After a case is purchased with a set amount of power with it already... when you purchase a power supply ... it is added with the case...

ie. 420 watt case ... after purchasing 800watts power supply.. will it then be 1220 watts??

no,,if you didn't want the 420w one that came in the case, you would take that one out, and put in the 800w one you bought.

or if u really wanted to. u could have one power supply suplying the mobo and CPU. and then the other all the other stuff. but thats just pointless u'd be better off just using the the bigger one

in a custom build, where you decide online then have it shippped to you...
do they take out the original and obviously installl the upgrade...is there a dedcution or no...?

Some sites offer to build the PC for you, but usually costs about $50. Assembling the PC yourself is quite easy.

i did it. but now im just having problems installing windows. just make sure u have a Windows CD. sry kinda off subject but w/e

it will depend on the system builder how they do it so check with them, but usually if it comes standard with say a 420w psu and you upgrade for $25 or something to a 800w one, you would just get the 800w one and they would take out and keep the 420w one.

ahhh ok, yeah that makes a little more sense...

may have been dumb question to begin with. :(

thanks.
