I have a 450w PS that I am using to build a computer with. It has a cable with 2 SATA adapters and 2 Molex adapters on the same cable. Where the HDD and the Disk Drive is located there isn't enough slack between the 2 SATA adapters to connect both drives. I have 2 Molex to SATA extensions. My question is, can I use the extension to connect to the 2 Molex adapters on the PS cable and then connect to SATA ends of the extensions to the drives? And if so does it matter which SATA extension goes to which drive? They are not marked and I don't want to go hooking things up and turn on the computer and it blow up in my face or fry the Motherboard. Thank you!

Yes you can and no it does not matter which you use.

I would say though, if you don't want it to blow up, what are the full specs of the system that you are building, and which "450W" PSU are you using?
