Power supply question

hi, i just bouhgt myself an ASUS p5gd1 ATX style motherboard and i was reading the manual and it said to buy a 2.0 compliant power supply. well i accidently bought a power supply that is ATX12v form factor 2.03 and i want to know whats the difference between 2.0 and 2.03 also if it will work for this motherboard. thanks.

Don't worry. I'm trying to think how to explain, but its hard.

It's just like a way of saying look it's this good. Like one of the specs says that it has to have at least 2 12V rails, for added stability in SLI, but I could use my PSU which isn't that spec and it doesn't matter.

Something more serious is that you could have a 20pin connector and a 24 pin ATX connector on the motherboard, or a 4 pin connector and a 8pin connector on the motherboard. If this is the case, you might be able to get hold of an adaptor, or you may have to RMA it.

The only way to test is to put it into the case and connect it up to the motherboard.
