The problem is that a difference of opinion seldom remains just that. I have my own political opinions and most here know them but I know that I am in the minority simply by the fact that most here are way younger than me or are not in/from the US.

Today is my eighth anniversary of my starting date with my current employer. It doesn't feel like it has been that long, well, at least most of the time anyway. I didn't know exactly what I was getting into at the time and there are days when I am still completely clueless, but it has been a good ride thus far and I am thankful for the opportunity that I have been given. I have had the pleasure of working with some great people and have made some awesome friends, plus I have gone places that I would have never had the chance to see (and some rinky-dink spots I never knew existed). While not perfect by any means it has been a good home for me and I plan on staying there for a long time yet.
