Potentially the longest thread in history...

I lost an uncle this morning. We all knew it was coming but that doesn't make it really any easier. Of my dad's brothers and sisters we are down to one uncle, the baby of the family; he's 76.
 
So sorry to hear about your loss. I have found that as we age, we are writing more sympathy cards than b-day, congrats, and wedding cards. The closer I get to 70 the more I thank God for his blessings to me

I'm gonna need y'all to stick around for a long while yet. This place is some of the only core memories I got left.
 
Post from May 1, 2006. Feels like a lifetime ago.
Reading through some of the old stuff or the desktop screenshot thread was a blast lol, I only just retired my 980x last yr and tbh she'd probably keep going if I had a spare 1366 board.

Sorry for your loss trotski as well :sad: hope everyone's been weathering the last few years alright otherwise; I've been coping by cooking briskets meself and aside from most things I own now being covered in a thin layer of brisket fat, it's not doin too bad as a method :lol:
