This time last year I was on 768mb ram, 40gb hdd, integrated graphics, and a celeron at 2.5ghz.
I had about 6,000 posts on one EE forums, and another 2,000 on another, and about 1,000+ on another.

You could pick up a 450vx and save some money while still being able to run a good graphics card in the future.

Vernong... a 4870 is supposed to be equal to or > then a 3870x2.. Won't that be just a little bit of a bottleneck?
But congratz, i hope this build blows your mind. lol i thought you would of had this build months ago with that whole "lets get vernon a new computer" thread.
