Possible Memory Issues?

I am presently building a new computer. I think i may have a possible memory issue. I have one stick of DDR2 5300 memory, and when i press the power switch, nothing happens. The fans start spinning and thats it. When i first bought the board, memory and CPU it all worked fine, but then then the next day it didn't. I also attempted to boot the board with no memory, and it used the diagnostic beeping sounds. So i think it may be a memory issue.

If your using one stick of memory then you need to make sure you place the memory in the right slot. Check the manual and check where you place the memory when using just one stick.

Also,have you got another computer you cn try the RAM in,or another stick of ram to try in your computer?

I Don't have more then one stick, the problem is that it already worked once, then it suddenly stopped. It is in the first dimm slot, and i don't have another computer to test it in.
