"Political correctness" gone mad

People make such a big deal about the "under god" scenario.

I'm an Atheist, when i stand up, i put my hand on my heart and say the pledge normally to respect my country. I just don't say that one part of the Pledge.

It's really not that hard to do.

I'm an atheist to but mostly because I just cant stand established religions. They all teach tolerance but never practice it and this is just an example of that. Heck, in Milwaukee we don't have public Christmas trees anymore but "Holiday trees". Seriously, what other religion celebrates their late-winter holiday with a decorated tree? We've gotten too sensitive about people's feelings and it's just gotten out of control. where is Darwinism when you need it?

I think it's more that we've gotten too sensitive to what a select few people believe are other's feelings. I have never met anybody who actually objects to Christmas.

Bottom line is there are people out there that just love to force their will onto other people. This is just another excuse to do that...
