Please install the favicon.ico into the root folder

If you have the time, it would be great if you could upload the favicon.ico into the root folder of the domain as well, otherwise the shortcut icon won't be created automatically and it's very unpleasant to have a shortcut without an icon.
Currently, you only have the favicon.ico installed in the https://www.techist.com/forums/ folder, but no browser can automatically find it there and then makes only grey shortcut on the favorites area.

It seems that no one is interested in this or it is really too complicated for the administrators here.
Nothing has been done yet.
