PLease Help My Laptop!

My Toshiba have some problems. When i use the cable (power cable), it can't on but when i put on my battery with the cable together it can on. What's the problems?? Please help!!

The model you have may use the battery as the voltage regulator so it needs it to be in when it's on AC power.
