Hello, i am not 100% sure that this is due to a virus but here it goes. Ill try to be as specific as possible. My current os is Windows XP. So When i start my computer, it boots up normally. After i reach my login screen it looks normal till i log in. As soon as my desktop appears, my computer restarts. I was able to access my computer through safe mode, and turned on my computer alert thing. So after that i restarted my computer and log in-ed on normal mode. Same thing happened, but the dreaded blue screen showed up. It said a lot of stuff and then it gave a code:

0x0000008E (0xC0000005, 0xF389621D, 0x00000000)

i have no idea what to do and my other computer has recently stopped working all together (cant even turn on) which i think is because a few of my motherboard capacitors leaked or something.

Well if possible please save my computer T_T

Before this happen, did you install any hardware (video card, memory, etc.) into your computer? If that is, try to uninstall it then see what will happen...

Try to safe mode the computer (while the computer is in POST or booting up keep pressing F8 key on keyboard, then select Safe mode) if that continues and there is no BLUE SCREEN of DEATH appeared, most probably you have hardware problem on your computer.

It might has something to do with bad RAM.. Try this one at a time...
- Try to seat the memory on other memory module available on the motherboard
- or if you have more than one memory installed on the computer, remove/uninstall the the other one and see if the blue screen will appear. If no blue screen appeared, still try the second memory to make sure if that is the cause of the the problem.
- or try using other memory (if you have other one which is compatible to the computer) so you can isolate if the memory is really the faulty one...

Assume if the video card might be faulty:
- Try to remove the video card installed, and used the built-in video card on the motherboard. If there is no problem or no blue screen appeared, then it might be the video card is faulty. But i think this rarely happened.

Hope this will help you...

1. Nope nothing installed for a long while now.
2. Yea, i can get into safe mode and it works normally
3. I am not a computer genius, but i believe i located the ram ( Long stick with multiple cells on it). I only have 2 slots for ram sticks and they are both in use. I tried removing one at a time and starting in normal mode with no help. Then i tried moving them around to test the slots themselves with no help.

Oh, i have just read on a different post that there might be a problem with my windows xp files. A repair of the windows xp (with cd) would help, but the problem is i cant seem to use the cd while in safe mode. It says that that the administrator disabled it or something. Can someone varify whether or not this might be applicable to my situation and if so, how would i use the cd in safe mode @_@

Ok this might be a problem. I have installed combofix and started it, but problem is that it says that i have to turn off avast & avg, but they are not on according to my Task manager Processes. And when i try to follow the guide on how to turn them off, none of them show in tray for some reason. Also when i turn on AVG, it only showed me the safe mode version which is not the Control Center.
